excited about having an outer space scene painted on their
ceilings is to have a sample of your work. A poster is all you
need. Let the customer see the poster in the dark and watch their
reaction. Leave it with them if you have to. This is a good way to
follow up on potential customers.

Getting Phone Calls:

turn the lights out for a minute)
Tell the prospect that it
will only take 5 minutes to show them your demo poster or posters
and their is no obligation. (These posters you make up can
actually be samples of your work.)
I like to give the customer a
choice of times when setting up an appointment over the phone. "Hi,
Mrs. Smith, would Monday or Tuesday be a good day to bring over a
sample of my work? Say around 6 or 7 p.m.? Is mornings or evenings
better for you?", etc...
Getting Orders: The
person that looks at your poster will be impressed. Let their kids
get in on the action also! Kids are your best salesmen! Adults do
love stars too though.
If they want to have a star
mural done, set up a definite time to do it. If they don't go for
it, sell them the poster for $30 or more depending on how detailed
it is.
If they want to think about
it a day or so, offer to leave the poster with them a couple days
so they can decide. Doing this gives you a chance to follow up and
possibly make the sale. If you don't make the sale you still have
UNLIMITED chances with other prospects - as many as there are
STARS in the sky!
First you make up a sample
star mural demo poster: This is a good way to practice. In
time you can have 3 or more star mural themes. Each demo poster
can be a sample for each theme and priced according to how much
detail each ceiling star mural will have.
You can use poster stock that
you can easily roll up or you can use some that is of a stiffer
board stock for presentations. I will show you how to formulate a
special paint that glows when the lights go out for as long as 10
- 12 hours. Plus the simple low-cost tools needed to do a poster
or a ceiling.
Your poster can show several constellations plus thousands of
other stars which can be created in minutes. You can highlight
your poster with extra spacey colors, shooting stars and even some
UFOs, angels, ghost ships, etc. You can finish with colorful space
clouds, nebulae, etc. if you wish.
Again, you simply show your cosmic ceiling poster(s) to anyone
that has a roof over their head. Then simply duplicate this same
space scene or other ones on their bedroom ceiling or any ceilings
